Blackstone Police Searching for Breaking and Entering Suspect
BLACKSTONE — Police Chief Ross A. Atstupenas reports that the Blackstone Police Department is actively searching for a suspect involved in a breaking and entering last week.
On Thursday, Aug. 24, at approximately 5:19 a.m., Blackstone Police were dispatched to D&H Variety, 1210 Social St., for a report of a breaking and entering.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a store employee had arrived to open the store and discovered that the glass of the building’s side door had been shattered. It also appeared that there were packs of cigarettes missing.
Police reviewed surveillance video at D&H Variety, which showed a man entering the building and removing items from the store before fleeing. Currently, the only known items stolen are cigarettes. The suspect is described as a light skinned black or Hispanic male, who is bald. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, tan pants and gloves.
Blackstone Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying this man. Anyone with information about this suspect should immediately contact Blackstone Police at 508-883-1212 OR through their anonymous tip line at 508-876-5847 or online through the department’s Submit a Tip form, here.
